General Summary
This Research Data Analyst position is in the Daskalakis, Klengel and Ressler laboratories. The Research Data Analyst will develop and implement strategies for organizing, downloading, storing, and analyzing data as effectively as possible. The Research Data Analyst will manage large sets of genomic, physiological, neuroimaging, clinical, and behavioral data derived from a wide variety of translational studies.
The analyst is responsible for developing, organizing, and/or maintaining the study databases, and is responsible for data validation and quality control. At both sites, in conjunction with the Principal Investigator, the analyst will help develop and implement new research protocols including design, data collection systems, and institutional review board approval and amendments. S/he assists Principal Investigator with the statistical analysis and preparation of data for presentation and written published articles, performing literature searches, as appropriate. All other duties as assigned.
Under general supervision, the analyst is expected to work independently on a daily basis and report to the project manager and/or principal investigators as needed or in regularly scheduled meetings. Principal duties may vary over time with grant funding and project demands, and with the skill level of other staff assigned to projects.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
High degree of computer literacy; knowledge of data management programs.
Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux environment.
Proficiency in statistical analysis of clinical research data using data science programming languages such as Python and R.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with the study participants.
Good oral and written communication skills; careful attention to detail.
Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results.
Knowledge of clinical research protocols.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects’ rights and individual needs.

Qualifications
BS or BA degree required with experience in statistics or related fields.
Candidates should have c omputational linguistics and/or data mining experience.
Experience With Health-related Research Is Helpful (but Not Required).
All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.

Ability to perform a variety of routine tests and prioritize work.
High level of computer programs, databases, etc.
Excellent time management/organizational skills to ensure smooth functioning of the lab
