The US Record to Report Specialist will have responsibility for the accounting through payment of certain collaborations agreements including complex manual journal entry preparation, quarterly true-up of accounts, related balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, as well as interactions with BioPharma Finance and external parties. Innovation is an important part of the Collaborations team and as part of the Specialist role will be finding more effective ways in the execution of work responsibilities. Additionally, the role will require the preparation of any month end topside adjustments within the Collaborations team or in support of US BioPharma Finance.

The R2R Specialist will be expected to manage workload, deliverables especially around peak times during month end close and quarter end deliverables.

Collaborate with stakeholders throughout Pfizer including US, IDM, and EM Finance; Transfer Pricing CoE; O2C and contractual third parties as required.

Role Responsibilities

Maintain records, supporting files/documentation, complete/accurate work instructions, and necessary compliance documentation in an organized manner.

Work under general supervision using own judgment where needed and make decisions to resolve moderately complex problems with short term impact within the team.

Ensure activities are performed to a high standard of operational excellence, established service level agreements and deadlines are met, and adhere to defined process/control requirements.

Engage directly with all business partners on complex activities and deliverables; maintain effective relationships with business partners.

Develop areas of expertise and process ownership of global and/or complex areas.

Utilize strong understanding of accounting principles and departmental knowledge to achieve assigned work.

Contribute to the completion of moderately complex projects across a work team.

Ensure strong commitment to the control environment through training and review to meet all control and compliance requirements.

Participate in global initiatives including transformational projects as needed, as a subject matter expert for the area.

Focus on continuous improvement in order to improve efficiencies and grow value add opportunities and begin to apply experimentation and use of new ideas.

Review select activities of junior colleagues and provide informal coaching to further develop junior colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance discipline required.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.

Practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting/Experience of other GAAPs required.

International experience seen as a plus.

English proficiency required.

CPA or international equivalent (ACCA) required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters or advanced degree is preferred.

Public accounting experience strongly preferred.

Advanced SAP & HFM experience strongly preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $81,100.00 to $135,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
