THE ROLE: Xylem seeks to hire a Market Development Managerfor the Industrial Market in theSouth CentralRegion,USA(Houston, Texas). This position isresponsible fordriving sales growthin theindustrialmarket segment,focusing ongeneral industry, O&G and mining,butalso involving the brandsAC Fire,Flygt, Godwin andGoulds Water Technology.The employeewill work closely with distributorsto grow pump, motor, monitoring & controlsand treatment products. Thisterritory has a tremendous opportunity for growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Developand executea Master Business Plan with each distributor.
Deliver orderand sales targets versus budgets.Work with distributorsto increasesales & marketshareofproducts in territory. Open newdistributorswhere and when necessary.
Motivate and implement growth strategies with distribution channels.
Travel withdistributorpersonnel totrainand help grow Xylem productsales.
Maintain and grow large project funnel in coordination with channels.
Assistthe marketingteamin defining newmarkets andproduct opportunities.
Makeprospecting callson EPC, OEMand end users with channels.
Hold trainings for channels and channel customers.
Attend local trade association meetingsandconducttrainings.
Keepmanagementadvised of competitors’ activities intheterritory /region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree,Business/Engineering degree preferred.
Experience in the industrialpumpmarket
Experience in Oil and Gas Market including processes
Understanding of hydraulics’ and electronics.
Experience withpump systems, electric motors, controls & monitoringand packaged pump stations.
Individual must possess a mechanical aptitude.
Minimum of 4-6 years of field sales experience.
Experience managing distribution channels.
Strong leadership,interpersonal and presentation skills.
50%-70% travel required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
