The client is a national manufacturer, supplier, and installer of canopies and related components that services all sectors of the Retail Petroleum Industry, from independent oil marketers to major oil companies and large convenience store.

Job Description: The Estimator plays a crucial role in their organization by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. They are responsible for evaluating project requirements, analyzing data, and preparing detailed estimates for construction, manufacturing, or other projects. The Estimator collaborates closely with various stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities: Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements. Analyze materials, labor, and equipment needed for the project.

Utilize established methodologies and tools to calculate project costs accurately. Consider factors such as materials, labor, equipment, permits, and overhead expenses. Prepare detailed cost estimates for bidding and project planning purposes.

Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and suppliers for materials and services. Negotiate prices and terms to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project budget constraints.

Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may affect project costs or timelines. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop strategies for mitigating risks and minimizing cost overruns.

Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation. Generate reports and presentations summarizing project costs, budget variances, and other relevant metrics as needed.

Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to cost estimation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of estimating processes.

Qualifications: Previous experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

High School Required. College is a plus.

Proven experience as an estimator in construction, manufacturing, or a similar industry.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficient in Construction Plans & Specifications

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
