Job Summary: The System Director, Enterprise Analytics leads and oversees the development,
implementation, and management of the enterprise-wide data platform and analytics strategy. This role will
be responsible for leveraging data to drive business insights, optimize operational efficiencies, and support
decision-making processes within the organization.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: EPIC preferred
Work Experience: Minimum 6 years of leadership experience in a healthcare field, 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Epic experience; strong communication skills; experience leading an analytics team; experience building out an EDW; can provide a strategic vision for the analytics program
Strong knowledge of business processes, business intelligence
technologies, data analytics, and project management methodologies. Highly organized with the ability to
coordinate multiple projects and deadlines. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and guide through influence across diverse data and analytics
stakeholders and customers. Ability to facilitate effective communications between faculty, clinicians, staff,
and administrative leaders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight and leadership of the Enterprise
Analytics Hub (i.e., the institution wide data and analytics program). Collaborates with executive leaders,
advises on analytics strategy/services and consults on all institutional data related initiatives. Develops
roadmaps to embed analytics and drive transformation in patient experience, clinical/operational workflows,
institutional growth, and clinical research initiatives. Directs, plans, and oversees the design, development,
and deployment of an enterprise-wide data warehouse solution (EDW). Leads large-scale data and report
remediation efforts and guides transition from manual data manipulation and management to automated
processes. Participates as a key leader and sponsor in data governance processes that set definitions for
key data elements and manages the processes of changing definitions, adding new elements to the
enterprise data dictionary, and implementing rules on data usage. Fosters innovation, leveraging emerging
data and analytics technologies to derive insights and enable information-based decision making for
strategy, research, clinical, financial performance, and operational improvements. Actively participates in
the development and optimization of the electronic medical record and other data source systems.
Promotes the value of the analytics program to the institution and oversees a team of program leaders and
functional analysts with matrixed responsibilities.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are
subject to general review in final stages only.
Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performances evaluations. Works
with internal/external customers via telephone or face-to-face interactions. Works with other healthcare
professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
