About the Job Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position is the resource lead for the Mental Health Services branch among the other branches at the YMCA of San Francisco. They are responsible for providing clinical consultation and supervision of staff in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field. These duties will generally include, but are not limited to, supervision of behavioral health champions on sites and trainees, providing clinical consultation, clinical program development, and the oversight of behavioral health champion staff/intern/trainee training. This position requires extensive mental health experience and knowledge of outpatient clinical services. Clinical and administrative duties assigned by the Director will be consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the field of mental health and the YMCA’s mission.

With the help of a local consulting agency, our team of community leaders and staff have made accountability and affinity work central to our purpose and believe that the only way forward in building a better workplace reflects the vision of change we want to see in the larger community in working towards racial equity.

Salary:$82,624 to $90,000 per year

Minimum Qualifications Possess a current and active California license that is not under suspension or probation.

Have been licensed in California or any other state for at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.

Have practiced psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.

Provided direct supervision to MFT Trainees, AMFTs, Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, or Associate Clinical Social Workers who perform psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.

Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws.

Experience in facilitation and training clinical and non-clinical staff.

Extensive experience in trauma-informed training and consultation and working with youth who have a history of IDD.

A broad theoretical knowledge and expertise in the practice of a variety of treatment modalities and of diagnostics and therapeutic techniques in order to diagnose and solve problems in psychotherapeutic work with children, adolescents and/or adults.

Knowledge of the racial, ethnic, economic and social factors affecting the residents of the neighborhood served by the program.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Knowledge of clinical documentation standards per California BBS.

Expertise and knowledge in law and ethics for helping professions.

Current YMCA approved CPR and FA Certification
