Our team is tasked with identifying, prototyping, iteratively improving with direct operator involvement, testing, and deploying to air platforms advanced solutions to the most challenging problems in the USAF and larger DoD. We need someone that that is tech savvy with a "willing to roll up sleeves" attitude. This is an innovative crew with lots of moving parts, so you’ll need to work closely with your team and client to be the interface between on our site and the cloud.

As a DevOps engineer, you know that listening to and understanding a client’s needs is the first step to introducing DevOps methodology to an organization. Your communication skills, combined with your technical knowledge, mean you’re well-versed in setting organizations up for success. We are looking for someone like you to bring your DevOps engineering knowledge and help our clients make a mission-forward impact. As an experienced DevOps platform engineer at Booz Allen, you will not only convey the importance of automation and efficiency to your clients, you will be directly involved in DevOps engineering work. Together with a team of experienced professionals, you will support the building and maintenance of a pipeline. You will automate configuration management to provision and secure platforms and tools that host and manage critical applications. Using your software engineering knowledge, you will guide delivery teams on integrating deployment technologies and best practices. You will apply your extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You Have:

5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab and Jenkins, and with configuring and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters

5+ years of experience with the Cloud using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

5+ years of experience with networking

Experience with automated scripts with Bash or Python to install and harden operating systems using Government STIGs

Experience with code scanning and container scanning

Experience with automation and Infrastructure As Code (IaC) using HashiCorp tools, such as Ansible, Vagrant, and Terraform

Knowledge of IP, subnets, routing, and firewalls, such as configuration of reverse proxies, ingress controllers, web application firewalls, channel encryption, server authentication, and client authentication

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

Experience with hardware and server building

Experience working in secure environments

Top Secret clearance

Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
