Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics has an immediate need for an Information Systems Specialist supporting our team in Scottsdale, Arizona.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Provide on-going support for the various development and test components associated with the infrastructure of a mission critical product
Provide the day-to-day care of the system components, provide the technical support for the users of the system, and assist in the configuration management of the system
Duties include installing new software/hardware, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training users
Serve as lab team interface to users with technical issues
Plan, organize and execute lab support tasking
Provide weekly lab status to leadership
Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers
Create scripts to automate repetitive processes
Make recommendations for hardware and software purchase
Interact with third-party technology vendors and internal technical staff
On occasion, provide on-site support for new product version installations and associated testing
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise server solutions
Deploy, configure, and manage RHEL, Pitbull and Windows servers
Configure and administer a variety of virtualized environments
install and manage network equipment, including switches, routers and firewalls
Configure and administer storage devices
Investigate and troubleshoot issues
Support the engineering in troubleshooting and resolving issues
Represent the organization as the customer contact
Take ownership of getting project deliverables done on schedule and within budget
Show initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projects
Share skills and knowledge with team members to be more effective
