OverviewnThe Regional Vice President is responsible for multi-district management and leadership development of our District Director team within their assigned region. This position will have oversight of 6-12 districts aligned to their geographical area. The Regional Vice President is an integral part of the Sprouts Leadership team and responsible for our District Directors' success and region profitability. This region role is responsible for driving store sales, team member engagement, and robust customer advocacy through strong, dynamic leadership to create success in people, processes, partners, and performance.n nEssential FunctionsnPeoplenn Positively shape the culture in the region by modeling the leadership behaviors aligned to Sprouts values.n Develop the District Director team within the region to deliver an exceptional customer experience by motivating our team members' engagement.n Lead with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care.n Develop and grow District Director leadership and model Sprouts values and leadership behaviors.n Provide development feedback and coaching to Director and Store Leadership teams.n Support Sprouts' focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure a sense of belonging across the organization.n Spend time in stores in your regions, review KPIs to identify obstacles, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, and coach the management team to act and achieve operational goals.n Work closely with district leadership to resolve conflict, utilizing your Human Resources Managers for input, advice, and guidance, and remaining keenly focused on escalated or high-risk issues.n Build talent pipeline internally and externally, export and promote talent across the company for the organization's success and new store growth.n Manage your talent bench strength and identify opportunities to promote and move talent for continued development across operations and into other cross-functional areas and special projects.n Retain and reward your team through active engagement, appreciation, recognition, and coaching.n Communicate and cascade directives to teams through district visits, calls, and one on one conversatons.n Oversee and validate proper store staffing, including selection, promotion, and hiring of Store Managers in partnership with the District Director and SVP.n Sponsor development programs such as Assistant Store Manager development and Store Manager Certification.nnProcessnn Responsible for the success and profitability of districts within the region.n Provide strategic direction and input to the forecasting and budgeting process.n Analyze the profit and loss report, margin report, and other financial Implement plans to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.n Drive and validate the deployment of merchandising directives in each department.n Guide merchandising decisions and execution, with an eye for regionally appropriate modifications; act as a steward of the Sprouts' brand.n Approach directives with nimbleness and adaptability and communicate the Sprouts brand through merchandising and displays.n Provide feedback on marketing efforts in the respective district to drive traffic and build basket size.nnPartnersnn Partner with the merchant team to maximize sales opportunities, build the average basket size, and present stores that reflect the brand.n Partner with the marketing team to maximize customer traffic, articulate the points of difference at Sprouts, and provide an optimal store experience that reflects the Sprouts personality.n Partner with the supply chain team to support on-time deliveries at desired frequencies to support store sales, manage inventory levels, and optimize our carbon footprint.n Partner with the Facilities team to ensure operational and safe conditions throughout the region.n Partner with the legal and business protection team to protect our team members, customers, and the company through compliance with safety and food safety regulations.n Maintain compliance with all safety and food safety recommendations and requirements, as measured through Ecolab and PCR audits.n Oversee safety, security, and loss prevention activities, identifying and addressing trends within the region. Partner with Business Risk and Safety team to resolve concerns.n Ensure region compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding health, sanitation, and food safety.n Review escalated Loss Prevention matters and investigations, ensuring compliance and consistency.n Oversee execution and response of food safety compliance and resolution of compliance concerns.nnPerformancenn Develop and oversee programs to exceed sales goals, reduce shrink, maintain proper inventory levels, and cash management.n Provide leadership and coaching to drive excellence in customer satisfaction and engagement in the region.n Foster and lead a customer-centric culture within the stores, championing initiatives like u201cGreet and Asku201d, and ensuring all team members deliver exceptional Care towards Sprouts customers.n Manage shrink across the region and coach teams when concerns arise; work closely with merchandising and supply chain for ordering issues.n Oversee and validate district plans to manage product overstock.n Support opening of new stores through District Directors' guidance, ensuring participation of district teams in hiring events, training, support of construction and facilities.n Ensure proper pricing and inventory levels throughout the region.nnKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical RequirementsnExperience Requirednn Experience leading multiple retail locations oversight; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.n Experience performing cost-benefit analysis.n Must have an excellent working knowledge of perishable and non-perishable processes and merchandising in a grocery retail environment.n Must be able to analyze financial statements; requires basic math skills to calculate discounts, gross margins, markups, percentages, and volume.n Basic knowledge of human resources practices such as recruiting, interviewing, employee relations, various employment laws, supervising, employee motivation techniques, and discipline methods.n Must have a strong command of Microsoft Office applications and experience with web-based dashboarding.n Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.n Must be able to travel throughout the region for store visits, new store openings, and other activity.n Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field preferred.nnKey Competencies for Successnn Customer Servicen Decision Makingn Communicationn Leadership Capabilitiesn Business Acumenn Coaching and Developmentn Interpersonal SensitivitynnBenefitsnIn addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
