Evaluates patients by interviewing patients, family, and other persons; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; and evaluating results. Communication skills are required to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with the service. External communications involve provision of a service, representing the organization at public meetings and ability to deal with sensitive situations/information.
Responsibilities as the SBH BH Program Director at Baltimore Medical System include developing and implementing an orientation program including initial competency assessment of all LCSWs, CHWs, behavioral health team personnel and other staff as deemed appropriate. Establishes the behavioral health curriculum for the school year. Manages the SBH clinical behavioral health program and universal mental health literacy education within the identified schools. Ensures to maintain an updated training manual for the program.
Requirements
Education:
Doctoral degree (PhD in Psychology) or Licensed Clinical or Master's degree in social work
from a university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Current licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Maryland at date of hire, or current
licensure as a LCSW-C by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Current CPR Certification.
Experience:
Five years of experience in a specialty area with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position Provides supervision to the SBH Behavioral Health team.

Receives direct supervision from the Center Medical Director of School Based Health
