The Role
Moxion’s Advanced Manufacturing team is hiring several Production Engineering Technicians to support the execution of our product development roadmap. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of functions related to the development, manufacturing, and assembly of prototype units, hardware, and fixtures. You will work closely with both the Hardware and Manufacturing teams - exchanging ideas, insights, and lessons learned - as Moxion moves through the product development cycle towards series production. This will be an exciting, fast-paced, and demanding work environment, affording you the opportunity to grow with the company. You will have the ability to influence design-for-manufacturing related decisions, as well as the manufacturing process steps involved in series production. The products you help bring to market will transform and disrupt massive industries that haven’t seen innovation in decades. Responsibilities
Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude
Maintain structured and reliable schedule
Read, comprehend, and follow established work instructions and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication
Great collaborative skills with all stakeholders
Cleanliness and organization of the work space
Evaluate the assembly processes and equipment, seeking continuous improvement
Follow safety procedures and guidelines
Physical demands
Using proper lifting techniques, you must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
Ability to maneuver assembly components by hand in a repetitive manner conducive to efficiency, job specifications, safety, and quality goals
Ability to frequently stand (80%), bend, kneel, lift and sit to accomplish assembly production goals
Use of appropriate supplied PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Preferred experience
2 years in a prototype and/or production environment
Mechanical assembly with hand tools/torque tools
Electrical assembly/soldering
Basic computer skills
Ability to read prints and work instructions
Familiarity with GD&T (General Dimensioning and Tolerancing) fundamentals
Bonus points for
Battery cell/module experience
Metal working/welding
Perform minor modifications to assemblies (drill, saw, etc.)
Experience in a cross-functional workplace with Engineering
