We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing company in Windsor, CT in their search for an Accounting Manager to join the team due to an increase in workload. This is a newly created position and will report into the Controller! The ideal candidate will have Manufacturing experience, 5+ years of experience, and ERP experience. Description
The Accounting Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
Manage the financial accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Develop and monitor annual operating budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and tax compliance.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and other departments to achieve company goals and objectives.
Profile
The ideal Accounting Manager - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Masters Degree a plus
CPA a plus but not required
5+ years of experience within a Manufacturing setting
Strong Communication Skills
Management experience is a plus but not required
ERP experience a plus
Strong Excel skills
Job Offer
The successful Accounting Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
Base Salary of $100,000-$125,000 depending on experience
PTO
