Role Description: The Senior Electrical Engineer must have at least 5+ years of experience. In this role, you will be a Hands-on Electrical Engineer responsible for designing electrical and control panels used in liquid cooling system products with both high and low voltages.

You would work with a small team of mechanical, refrigeration and manufacturing engineers to bring the new product though its full product development process, which includes early concept through production support.

You would be responsible for electrical component selection, schematic and wire run list creation, designing control solutions (functional control logic and PID control loops for temperature, flow, and pressure) and PCBA / PLC control firmware.

This position would either develop the firmware directly or work with a separate software engineer on the development. You would work with the full engineering team for testing and debugging of the system under development.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the product’s electrical hardware and firmware meets the functional and performance requirements, while working with the team to deliver on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities:

- Interrace with the design team and customers to understand and develop product specifications.

- Evaluate tradeoffs between performance/functionality, quality, cost, and schedule.

- Design electrical and control panels with high and low voltages, selecting electrical components.

- Design control solutions, such as PID control loops for temperature and flow rate.

- PLC, PCB (C++), temperature controller and VFD programming.

- Develop and execute verification test plans.

- Write test procedures and engineering reports.

- Create new items and BOM’s for the electrical portion of the design.

- Manage the electrical panel portion for new product development.

- Ensure that cost, performance, and schedule goals are achieved.

- Actively manage risk mitigation efforts.

- Follow established procedures; drive continuous improvement and update procedures applicable to your area as necessary.

- Provide product support from early concept, through product development and throughout production.

- Support failure and root cause analysis of prototype and production level products

- Would interact with other company product team members globally, as most programs require use of global resources within

- Travel – limited. Typically, less than 5% per year. Domestic and International travel is possible. Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

-  BSEE minimum; Willing to consider other similar education if substantial experience is impressive and directly applicable.

Required Experience and Skills:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing electrical control systems.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience programming PCBA’s and PLC’s.

- Working experience with communications protocols, i.e., RS-232, RS-485, ethernet, SNMP, rest API, etc.

- Working knowledge of engineering tools: o PLM software MRP software (Oracle cloud a plus)

- Knowledgeable/experienced in working with mixed signal oscilloscopes, DVMs etc.

- Solid understanding of total system testing, debugging, manufacturing, low cost, high quality & reliability

- Able to work independently and prioritize work based on the candidates’ understanding of the given overall project requirements as well as other projects within the organization.

- Good experience and skills in technical problem solving, analyzing system risk, identifying options, making recommendations.

- Daily use of Microsoft Office software

- Experience/ Knowledge with electro-mechanical systems a major plus.

- Experience/ Knowledge with sensors and PID controls a major plus.

Education: BSEE minimum/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses but there will be Signing bonus

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
