The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for strategic planning and managing the staff and financial affairs of all of these entities and is a hands-on position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives of the Owner.
Provide financial planning, tax strategy, forecasting, and analysis to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
Provide accurate and timely financial statements to Management and provide insight into financial status and trends.
Provide strategic income tax planning and advise the Owner of tax planning recommendations.
Manage the accounting staff fostering a culture of accountability and timely reporting.
Review legal contracts and recommend improvement to deal points, terms and conditions.
Work with insurance brokers to make sure that all significant risks are identified and insured.
Responsible for Information Technology, including hardware, software and support.
Responsible for Metropolitan District accounting including issuing developer bonds, financial reporting and the annual budget process.
Responsible for accounting for residential and commercial rentals with an understanding of the laws related to rentals.
Responsible for a Private Foundation including accounting and compliance with IRS requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA.
Proven experience as CFO in a multi-company environment.
Knowledge of real estate accounting including home building, land development, property management and metropolitan districts.
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
