Maintain the infrastructure and integrity of customers’ systems
Serve as a resource on technical projects
Serve as escalation point for solving technical problems and issues
Exercises independent judgment in the interest of the company as a substantial part of the work day
Analyze customer needs and implement solutions to meet those needs while understanding customer constraints
Possess and maintain knowledge of network and server environments including (but not limited to) Server Operating Systems, Virtualization Technology, E-Mail platforms, Cloud Services, Networking and Security.
Perform administrative duties including but not limited to logging hours, maintaining customer documentation, and using company-approved data entry system.
Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
Exercises independent judgment in the interest of the company as a substantial part of the work day
Provide input on technical processes for internal and external use
Obtain training and certifications to further goals of self and the company.
Provide ideas/insights as to new products or services that the company can offer its clients.
Perform after hours customer support as required.
Meet (at a minimum) company Service Level Agreements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and experience
Working toward professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP Understand network topologies, IP routing, switching, etc.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience in IT engineering
