Location Description:
Costa d'Este Beach Resort & Spa is a luxury resort located in Vero Beach, Florida. Overview:
BASIC FUNCTION: The Engineer (experienced Engineer/Maintenance) assists with guest room service calls, identifying and correcting issues. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventive maintenance on property equipment, facilities, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four years experience in a similar job in the hospitality or similar industry preferable.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Certified pool operator preferred. Refrigeration, HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting & repair experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Resolves guests problems and handles all guest requests.
Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplish assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs required.
Performs preventative maintenance and maintains records & logs as required.
Complete the shift rounds checklists and corrects noted problems.
Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems, (training provided).
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
All other duties as required.
ENVIRONMENT:
Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside possibly in inclement weather.
Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc.
Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $16.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
