SPECIALIST, SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT PRODUCER (Video, Photo, & Graphics)

Position Overview:

Charleys is seeking a one-of-a-kind creative storyteller to join our Marketing team as the Specialist, Social Media Content Producer (Video, Photo, & Graphics). In this role, you will create high-quality videos, photography, motion graphics, and static assets for use across our social media and digital channels. You will be responsible for all pre-production activities (including but not limited to: project planning, script/storyboard development, reviews/approvals, shot lists, etc.), production and post-production work (including retouching, color correcting, sound mixing, etc.), and the management, distributution, and archiving of final assets . This individual loves to collaborate, is curious, flexible, creative, organized, and knows how to create content that connects with a wide range of audiences and builds a strong, engaged community. This position reports to the Manager, Social Media Content Strategy & Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualize, script/storyboard, shoot, edit, and produce engaging short and long-form content for TikTok, IG, and Youtube audiences.

Establish and ensure the application of industry best practices across all video, photo, motion, and creative production activities, including: pre-planning (i.e., creative brief, script, storyboarding, budget, timeline, etc.), content capture (i.e., scouting locations, securing required permits, talent releases, etc.), post-production work and on time delivery.

Design captivating static and motion graphics, tailored to different target audiences, for social and digital channels, ensuring alignment with brand identity.

Actively participate in team ideation/brainstorming discussions to contribute to campaign and content strategy development.

Test content types, creative, and messaging to better target audiences and increase engagement.

Continually demonstrate an ability to create content that connects with our customer communities.

Demonstrate a high level of organization, communication (written and verbal), and work ethic when working both independently and in a group.

Effective at planning and working effectively and efficiently when executing projects very timeline driven and goal-oriented.

Comfortable directing talent, being on camera in-office, as well as in the public domain to film a variety of content.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of IP and copyright laws/regulations and serve as the organizations subject matter expert in this area.

Properly secure and maintain all production equipment.

Develop and manage bid specs and bid packages with stock image, music, and voiceover talent houses, if and when-needed.

Ensure technical compliance with Charleys Brand Standards & Guidelines across all video, motion, and creative projects.

Monitor and stay current on video, social, and creative trends, editing techniques and styles, as well as content platforms, to ensure that Charleys is consistently delivering memorable, buzzworthy, and relevant content.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in film, video production, communications, graphic design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

At least five years of progressive experience in a similar role

Familiarity with best practices and content creation for developing effective videos for social media platforms, including Tik-Tok, Instagram, YouTube, etc..

Strong experience/expertise in Final Cut Pro X, Avid, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and/or other professional editing software.

Ability to work with a variety of video, camera, and audio equipment.

Demonstrated ability to film broadcast quality video and audio: HD 1920x1080 or better.

Expertise in, and demonstrated experience producing professional grade photographs (including retouching, color correcting, etc.)

Strong understanding of professional grade lighting for video and photography.

Knowledge of different video formats and video file conversions, and the ability to convert video files in multiple formats.

Expert in video color correction, photo retouching, and sound mixing.

Ability to tell a captivating story in a variety of formats, from short teasers to long form videos.

Excellent script writing, editorial and storytelling skills (including the creation of storyboards.)

Highly collaborative and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive in intense, deadline-driven situations.

Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to a broad range of stakeholders.

Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality; strong attention to detail and follow-through in all aspects of video and photo production including, but not limited to: pre- planning (i.e. budget, timelines, equipment), scriptwriting, storyboarding, talent needs, capture plan (locations, permits, etc.), post-production work and frequent communication within the team and across the organization.

Strong understanding of IP rights and copyrights with experience negotiating bids with stock images, music, and voiceover talent houses.

Experienced working at both the strategic (macro) and tactical level (micro).

Creative, thinks outside-the-box and continually looks for ways to elevate ideas/output.

Analytical, outcome and data driven (intentional and focused on activities that drive ROI).

A willingness to travel up to 30%.
