Overview: The Vice President of Accounting, Hospitality is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting activities for the department. This position will have responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all accounting shared services related activities of Hospitality services and business lines within OVG, as well as directing its financial vision to support successful operations, growth and profitability. This role oversees a team of Directors and Accounting Managers and provides administrative oversight and direction to the following functions: accounting, treasury, internal operational audit, financial analysis and business operations projects. Ensures financial policies and procedures are met. This role reports to the CFO of OVG 360.

This role will pay a salary of $200,000 to $240,000.

Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting information for the department by maintaining and operating efficient and effective accounting systems and controls.

Subject Matter Expert on ERP and all Financial systems.

Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including corresponding analysis.

Prepares financial statements for the Client and Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget and Annual Report.

Coordinates preparation for Corporate audit materials and financial reporting for clients, external vendors or Executive leadership team; implements recommendations of CFO as requested.

Provides the Executive Finance team with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.

Leads and directs accounting operation to generate maximum efficiency and productivity by developing staff, utilizing meaningful metrics, establishing clear goals and by continuous review of policies and procedures.

Evaluates internal controls, make recommendations for improvements, and coordinate development of procedures manual.

Directs the Regional Finance team on monthly accounts payable process, accounts receivable process, and bi-weekly payroll process.

Acts as a liaison with IT department as it relates to accounting and finance issues.

Directs and ensures all cash handling procedures are documented and updated as necessary.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA a plus.

Minimum 12+ years of related experience in accounting working preferably within the hospitality industry segment.

Minimum 6+ years leading people and mentoring/developing Finance talent.

New Business Acquisition experience.

Experience implementing ERP and other financial systems

Net Suite knowledge preferred

Knowledge and Experience in US, Cananda and Mexico accounting principles preferred.

Strong experience in finance, accounting, contracts, budgets and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

Highest level of integrity, honesty to report to executives in an open and unbiased manner.

Demonstrated experience with handling and maintaining highly confidential information in a discreet manner without breach of confidentiality.

Strong intellectual capacity, critical and analytical thinker; possesses a fact-based approach to the analysis of business problems and opportunities. Displays executive presence, seasoning and maturity.

Verifiable track record of assisting business and finance leaders in understanding and improving cost structures, increasing profitability, and capitalizing on growth opportunities in the marketplace.

Experience with tax issues, standards, financial systems; controls, disciplines, philosophies. Range of technical skills and experiences, including joint ventures, development agreements, business transactions etc.

Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with ability to present financial information in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.

Prior experience successfully leveraging forward-looking risk mitigation strategies and tactics.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail.

Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel skills. Proficiency in other Microsoft Office and accounting/financial reporting systems such as Oracle and Net Suite are strongly preferred.
