Overview
Pyramid Global Hospitality is searching for a dynamic, highly skilled, detail oriented payroll professional to help lead the team. The Senior Payroll Operations Manager is a Hybrid role out of our Boston Corporate Office.
Function Lead
Oversee all payroll processes and support team as needed to ensure accurate and timely production of all payrolls, while ensuring procedures and processes follow company policies in addition to Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations.
Serve as a primary content expert and advisor in policy matters involving payroll administration and payroll-tax matters.
Streamline and improve our existing payroll processes to scale with our business.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Legal, etc. on company initiatives that affect payroll policy and process.
Manage the relationship with the payroll service provider(s), to ensure maximum value and high-quality performance and services. Including compliance with service levels agreements.
Responsible for the documentation and identification of payroll processes and key internal controls over financial reporting.
Stay abreast of Payroll best practices, make recommendations and champion new functionality/tools to drive business efficiencies.
Strong Payroll administration industry knowledge and network fostering ongoing innovation and best practices.
Collaborate with the HRIS team to optimize and streamline payroll systems, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Lead
You will oversee and develop Payroll team members.
Lead the payroll team to meet the evolving needs of our business.
Help team members establish and achieve goals that enhance their development as well as business needs.
Oversee timeliness and quality execution of ongoing and key Payroll projects.
Lead, manage, coach, and develop the payroll team members ensuring team and individual goals are met by creating an environment of individual and shared accountability.
Responsibilities
What we are looking for…
8 - 10 years of progressive payroll experience in a complex corporation.
Experience managing payroll across all states required (global experience a bonus).
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with degree in Accounting, Business, HR, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
Experience with Workday payroll is required and advanced knowledge of Workday Payroll / Time Tracking (PATT) a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
3 + years of payroll team management experience
Payroll Org Certification (CPP/FPC) is desired.
Excellent team building, mentoring, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Develop and administer guidelines for reviewing, processing, and researching payroll methods.
Proficient in meeting deadlines for multi-frequency payrolls and quarterly/annual tax deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to quickly build relationships and influence others, regardless of level.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to interface between technical and non-technical personnel
