Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Directly responsible for developing and executing the property’s annual marketing plan, calendar and budget, managing on a monthly basis.
Executes three wpg annual campaigns (Spring, Back-to-School and Holiday) as well as elevates the property throughout the year outside of these periods.
Oversees property’s digital presence, reputation management, accuracy and growth on property’s website, email platform and social channels. Utilize these tools as a vehicle to promote property and retailer
Deploy social media, advertising and PR efforts to support the property, within wpg guidelines and recommendations.
Supports retailer and leasing initiatives by driving traffic and sales through events, promotional and advertising efforts. Proactively and consistently engages with retailers.
Collaborates with cross functional partners and key stakeholders including Operations, Leasing (Specialty and Perm), Revenue Services, Finance and Development.
Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with media partners. Ensure a steady cadence of press releases and timely responses to promote new store openings, events and promotions at the center.
Supports the General Manager and serves as liaison between Property Management partners, Corporate Communications and media outlets during crisis situations.
Engrained in the community. Keenly aware of the pulse of the market including competition, development and demographics. Cultivates community, retailer and partner relationships.
Active leader of the local management team. Cross function support based on property needs. Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation, staff meetings and other relevant management responsibilities as needed.
Completes other assignments as deemed appropriate by the General Manager.
Conducts performance appraisals and development of hourly personnel, including hiring and training, when applicable.
Ensure wpg Brand Standards are maintained at the property and in promotion, including signage, events, digital, PR, etc.

Qualifications (Education and Experience)
Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing or Communications preferred) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Retail, Hospitality, Marketing and/or Shopping Center experience
Experience in planning, coordinating and executing events
Social media and digital marketing experience
Experience with media relations
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Apple iOS (iPad, iPhone)
