Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Supervisor the CDL driver transports eggs, day-old chicks, and/or full-grown pullets to a variety of locations both interstate and intrastate. The CDL position can be physically demanding.
Role and Responsibilities
Participate in loading and unloading truck
Precisely finish all paper work connected with conveyance of merchandise
Guarantee products are protected and secured
Be polite and professional in all customer and vendor interactions
Ensure timely conveyance of materials to and from places as instructed by manager
Remove all trash and personal belongings from the truck at the end of your trip/shift
No smoking in any company vehicles
Obey all traffic laws including wearing seat belts
Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound
Recognize all mechanical faults and report to the manager
Report any case of accident, injury, or damage involving company vehicles to the manager
Keep all records including fuel and vehicle maintenance receipts
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Class A CDL required. Ability to drive manual preferred.
Tanker endorsement preferred
Current Passport or the ability to obtain a passport required
Speak and read English well enough to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and able to make legible entries on reports and records required
Meet all Federal and State requirements for certification and CDL licensing for Class A, combination vehicle with air brakes, including current DOT medical certification, meeting the requirements set forth by Section 391.41, and corporate requirements.
Have satisfactory, verifiable experience, and/or appropriate training in Interstate Commercial, Class A vehicle operation and the transportation of freight.
Able to accurately and legibly complete all required paperwork and associated DOT Requirements.

Physical Demands Capable of sitting and driving extended periods of time, up to the maximum allowable times, safely, under a variety of conditions, including night driving
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors associated with eggs and poultry of various quality
Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
Frequently required to sit, walk, talk, hear, bend, reach, and stand
