Bob Bell Nissan KIA is looking for a Production Supervisor/Estimator in the collision industry. You would be responsible for overseeing the workflow, disbursing jobs to technicians, working directly with the parts department, and working closely with Insurance Companies. This role requires a strong understanding of collision repair processes, vehicle parts, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and high-quality repairs. You will collaborate closely with the management team, technicians, and suppliers to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that repairs are completed on schedule and within budget.
Daily involvement in vehicle estimating.
Coordinate with the repair team to allocate resources, manpower, and equipment effectively.
Develop and maintain efficient parts procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery times.
Ensuring adequate stock levels of parts and materials to minimize delays in repairs.
Collaborate with the estimating team to provide accurate parts lists and costs for repair estimates.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Train and mentor production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other industry partners to stay informed about new products, market trends, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education in automotive repair, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the collision repair industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
In-depth knowledge of auto body repair processes, parts, materials, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in relevant computer software and applications, including CCC ONE estimating software, and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality control standards.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
ASE or I-CAR certifications and CDK are a plus.
