Job Description: Job Purpose: Manage product marketing, development strategy, field support, and promotion to grow Microchip’s power conversion business. Areas of responsibility may include linear regulators, battery chargers, LED drivers, PWM controllers and other analog products used in different DC-DC or related applications. Essential Functions: Establish the strategy for assigned product lines to grow revenue with new and existing product portfolios
Drive product line margin and revenue to meet established business goals
Identify new product opportunities within the product lines of responsibility
Create business justifications for new product developments
Support product teams developing new products to ensure their work will achieve market successes
Execute new product introductions, including appropriate collateral, training, field, distribution, and customer support
Define collateral (reference designs, documentation, web, or video content) to target new opportunities for Microchip Power Conversion Products, while coordinating with and supporting other Microchip business groups supplying to the same systems
Coordinate with other business groups, worldwide field sales, application teams and distribution teams to nurture Microchip opportunities at major accounts
Collaborate with marketing peers and corporate marketing communications to develop sales collateral, advertisements, or other material to aid in revenue generation
Provide comprehensive product, system and strategy training for all Worldwide sales regions including direct, sales representative, and distribution sales
Maintain web content for product lines of ownership
Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications: BSEE or equivalent. Additional MSE or MBA preferred. 12+ years of relevant experience. Design, development, applications or marketing experience with semiconductor components or embedded systems required. Experience with DC-DC conversion, closed loop power control systems, or the related markets, would be beneficial but is not required. Special Requirements: Approximately 10-25% travel is possible for this position, domestic and international.
