We are looking for a business development professional to grow our
Civil Agents is looking for a Business Development professional to grow our roster of municipalities serviced by Recycle by City. This is an exciting opportunity to provide outreach and sales strategies for new customer acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Identify and research potential municipalities that would benefit from Recycle by City's services
Develop and maintain client relationships
Coordinate with management to develop mutually beneficial proposals
Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline through Hubspot
Track and report on the status of proposal components though Hubspot
Conduct ongoing market research
Work with management to prepare and submit sales contracts
Required Skills: Professional experience in the Waste and Recycling Industry
Demonstrated ability in business-to-business sales or fundraising
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with project management methodologies
Familiarity with the recycling industry including processes, challenges and opportunities
Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Compensation:
$13 per hour, 4-8 hours per week, plus 21% commission based on contract price (excluding set-up fees)
Bonus: $500 per contract when 3 or more contracts are initiated within a 3-month period
