Marketing Director

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, executing and managing the overall Intevac marketing function. This role is the strategic visionary and includes effectively and proactively strengthening brand identities, designing and executing revenue generation activities, and working cross-functionally across all areas of Intevac to support and enable growth. This role will work closely with the leadership team and coordinate with external agencies and vendors. The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing leader who can quickly develop a deep understanding of our businesses and execute a broad set of strategic marketing strategies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive product strategy bridging short-term execution and long-term vision
Identify opportunities and represent view of the market by conducting industry research, including deep quantitative, qualitative and competitive analysis
Oversee go-to-market efforts globally to support product launches and scaled adoption
Build compelling collateral, presentations, and sales tools to communicate the value and the differentiation of the offering to the appropriate audiences
Act as a strategic thought partner across all areas of the business, helping define and deliver effective marketing campaigns
Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environments, market trends and make proactive recommendations and strategies to increase and support sales
Develop a strategic plan by market segments
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
7 years of related marketing experience working in a product/technical marketing, product management, product strategy or equivalent function
Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the design of company brand identity and GTM execution strategies, integrated digital and content marketing, lead generation campaigns and events
Strong analytical and technical aptitude
Self-starter who can take ownership and proactively resolve issues
Exceptional communication skills verbal and written; ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with diverse personalities, build effective relationships and interact appropriately and effectively at all levels of the organization
