T2 Systems is hiring a full-time Business Unit Controller for its Indiana-based Parking Solutions business unit. The position is responsible for oversight of the business unit’s accounting, A/R, A/P, and cash management activities with a team that consists of 3 leaders and a total of 17+ individuals. Key activities are managing month-end close, financial statement review and analysis, all A/R functions, all A/P functions, ownership of financial policy, procedures, and internal controls. The role will be critical for improving existing accounting and financial operations processes and implementing continually improving financial controls.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, including transactions review and journal entries as needed
Responsible for timely/accurate invoicing/settlements, cash applications and collections activity
Ensure the consistent implementation of the Company’s accounting policies throughout the business or function, with particular attention to areas requiring judgement and estimation
Interpret, implement, and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with US GAAP
Establish working rapport with key stakeholders across the BU and Share Services unit
Implement changes and monitor that unit operations adhere to company policies and accounting principles
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to plan and execute quarterly and annual audits for business unit
Own and continue to develop internal controls, and utilization of existing accounting systems
Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA Required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (exposure to international a plus)
Up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP (exposure to IFRS a plus)
Experience in a large volume transaction processing industry
Experience understanding complex data flows and extraction/analysis of large data sets
Experience building and executing data-centric automated checks and balances
Experience in preparing and reviewing financial reports
Excellent oral and written skills
Outstanding communicator with a leadership mentality
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with Share Services unit
Strong focus on process and continual improvements
Strong attention to detail with ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Must be an energetic and inspirational leader that creates a positive work environment where team members flourish
Must be legally authorized to work in Indiana
Must be willing to submit to a background check, including verification of past employment, criminal history, educational background, or credit history
