Job Details
The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Technician is to provide competent and effective mechanic maintenance support to Plant operations.
Job Details
1) Perform all tasks and duties associated with the maintenance of all equipment and the facility, which includes, but is not limited to general maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, continuous improvement activities, welding, operating tools and equipment and other duties as directed by supervision.
2) Focus on making maximum machine efficiency, employee safety and high-quality products the highest priority.
3) Communicate effectively with and be responsive to other departments, giving immediate attention to issues that causes production to cease.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Willing to work extended shifts, overtime and respond to emergency callouts when needed to perform repairs.
· Applicant’s background should include education and/or experience, but not limited to the following.
o 120VAC, 277VAC and 480VAC 3 Phase and DC Voltage Systems.
o Basic knowledge of motor control centers including starters, heaters, wiring and bucket installation/removal.
o Proper use of multi-meters, current meters, etc.
o Ability to read and understand wiring schematics.
o Knowledge and Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
o Basic use of cutting torches and welding equipment and techniques.
o Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, bearing, seals, alignment, etc.
o Proper rigging techniques.
o Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor/articulating lifts and other necessary equipment.
o Completion of the Maintenance and Skills testing with a passing score.
