Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Bensalem, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and contract provisions.
Plan and assign inspection staff daily inspection duties and lead inspection teams.
Be proactive and alert project management professionals to issues that may come up in the field and provide solutions to mitigate those problems.
Review and ensure inspection staffs daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely.
Prepare summary inspection reports of daily activities.
Monitor the contractor's work progress and schedule.
Attend project meetings as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience).
4+ years of Transportation, Highway or Bridge Construction Inspection Experience.
NICET Level 3 or higher in Transportation Highway Construction.
Supervisory experience in construction management or inspection projects is preferred.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
Preferred but not required certifications - ACI Concrete Field Technician, PennDOT concrete, NECEPT Bituminous Field Technician.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and procedures.
Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle.
Basic computer skills to use an electronic tablet and computer for reviewing construction drawings/specifications and completing project documentation are required.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
Communication - Both verbal and writing skills are required.
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be physically able to perform moderately strenuous tasks which includes walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Work hours may include day and/or night shift work, and weekends, based on the type of operation taking place.
