About the Role
The Company, a dedicated health organization focused on providing affordable, high-quality medical care and supportive services, is seeking a Vice President of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the financial management department, including budget coordination, accounting, and managerial-financial reporting. This role also encompasses technical phases of financial management such as data processing, financial statement preparation, payroll, purchasing, and cash flow. The Vice President of Finance will work as part of the management team, supervise cash flow, create and maintain the accounting system, prepare budgets, assist in financial planning, and supervise the billing system to ensure timely billing and collections.Applicants must have a four-year degree in accounting (Master's degree preferred), at least 10 years of accounting experience with 5 years at a supervisory level, and knowledge of ACO, 1115 Waiver landscape, and nonprofit accounting. They should be proficient in computer-based medical accounting systems, grants and contract administration, and fund accounting. The role requires fluency in English, professional behavior, and the ability to represent the President/CEO internally and in public and business situations. The Vice President of Finance will also be responsible for preparing financial reports, coordinating financial procedures with other departments, and managing relationships with insurance providers to ensure compliance.
