Job Description

Prepare reports and interpret these for colleagues to inform management across a range of service areas regarding service performance and any scope for improvement.

Lead on regular reporting tasks on behalf of the team in line with deadlines provided, including collating the statistics and presenting the information in the desired format.

Support the team in designing, running, and updating reports and work with colleagues to create analytical pipelines using statistical analysis tools, including SQL, MS Power BI, MS Excel, R, and other relevant packages.

Work with colleagues to share insights, techniques, and good practice. Promote the team and support a climate of continuous improvement across services, including Helpline, Dispute Resolution, and Advice and Business Solutions.

Support the team to identify trends, areas requiring further investigation, and opportunities for improvement including the preparation of different/new reports which provide better/further insight.

Work to utilise management information in the most beneficial way for Acas to inform senior management about performance and effectiveness of Acas’s operational activities.

Provide corporate support to the team and Analysis Function including collating returns, ensuring deadlines are met, arranging meetings with colleagues in different teams as the need arises, among other tasks.

Experience

Essential criteria:

Awareness of data query, manipulation, and analysis techniques, with knowledge of relevant software packages and tooling to analyse data (such as SQL, R, MS Power BI, MS Excel, and MS Dynamics case management system).

High degree of skill in using programmes contained within Office 365.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Good oral and written communication skills. The successful applicant will need to work closely with operational colleagues who do not have an analytical background and the ability to listen to and understand their needs and to communicate analytical findings and methods to a non-specialist audience will be critical to ensure organisational improvements are made from the data analysis.

Interview Details

If you have successfully passed sift, you will be invited to an interview via MS Teams which is likely to take place week commencing 11 December and week commencing 18 December 2023. The interview will be a Technical and Experience interview.

A reserve list will be created for this position, this means that if you have passed the interview, but we couldn’t offer you this position, you’ll be on a reserve list for 12 months if a similar position becomes available.
