Finance Director - Indianapolis
Immediate opportunity for a Finance Director to join a top-notch company experiencing rapid growth!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integrates local market(s) intelligence into the planning process
Own market(s) performance management processes, strategic planning, and forecasting.
Facilitates communication among local market leadership, commercial finance, and FP&A teams.
Evaluates metrics to track specific market trends, identify opportunities, clearly communicate recommendations, and collaborate with business leaders to maximize effectiveness
Develop preliminary Financial Growth Targets and KPIs to assess division performance.
Monitors profit margins and identifies opportunities to drive overall profitability.
Provides input to Commercial Finance and Revenue Management regarding pricing opportunities.
Provide financial, P&L, balance sheet, and strategic leadership across the businesses to make financial and business decisions that deliver the market P&L targets to grow the business year-over-year efficiently and effectively.
Own and set the budget and budgeting process (annual and ongoing)
Lead the Market(s) long-range plan (LRP), annual Plan, and monthly/quarterly actuals and forecast/rolling estimate process, this includes ownership of the regional financial model and implementing timelines for both planning and forecast cycles
Provide strategic hands-on, metrics driven financial analyses, variance to plan explanations, and financial strategies to help accelerate growth and profitability within the territory
Analyze business risks and opportunities, and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the business, including mitigating, course-corrective actions if the business is off plan
Understand and leverage platform financial models to drive capital returns with most optimal resource deployment; lead market(s) cap ex allocation decisions
Preparation of financial results and reporting for assigned state(s)
Partners with Regional Finance, Corporate FP&A, Commercial Finance, Revenue Management, and Accounting to provide financial analysis and commentary of variances to plan to key stakeholders
Provides Insight to local market leader(s) regarding business performance and KPIs to maximize profitability
Evaluates metrics to track specific market trends, identify opportunities, clearly communicate recommendations, and collaborate with business leaders to maximize effectiveness
Develops preliminary Financial Growth Targets and KPIs to assess division performance.
This is a direct-hire position in Indianapolis, working a hybrid schedule.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrate outstanding financial and commercial acumen and have the ability to create and deploy replicable business models across geographies, along with the appropriate governance and controls to manage these on an ongoing basis
Strong structured thinking and proven analytical ability; Entrepreneurial thought leader - with a high level of energy and drive to succeed and win
Modern accounting software; Compliance software; Enterprise resource planning ERP software; Financial analysis software and Excel; analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or another business-related field of study preferred; or two or more years’ related experience in the wholesale beverage alcohol industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite of software tools, with a particular expertise in Excel, Power Point, and Power BI.
Five years previous management in finance
Experience with financial analysis; change management; and responsibility for managing and leading an accountable team.
Ability to communicate complexity simply and effectively particularly to senior management
Knowledge of EPM or demonstrated & proven track record of exceptional learning agility
Embraces working with lean resources and looking for ways to leverage a networked support model
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
Experience with database software, Logility, Microstrategy, etc.
