you’re
responsible for the care of technical equipment used in endoscopic procedures. Infection control and the safe application of procedures is a priority as you disinfect and sterilize giving big focus on the small stuff. You provide physician support for gastrointestinal procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic, while sharing smiles, tears, laughter, sadness, and aha moments with your patients
.

Your Everyday
Determine
if equipment is
appropriate for
scheduled procedures, what equipment needs to be ordered for replacement and if scope/equipment needs repair.
Follow proper infection control protocols cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment for next use.
Assist
physician with endoscopic procedures.
Document procedures as
required
.
Prepare patient for endoscopic procedures.
Ensure supplies and instruments are set up properly for procedures.
Monitor and document assigned performance improvement tasks.
Demonstrate and actively ensure compliance with all state, federal regulatory and accrediting agencies (i.e., patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, etc.)
The Must-Haves
Minimum:
High School Diploma/ GED or
appropriate work
experience
American Heart Association BLS certification
