Your Opportunity:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the technical design process, serving as a subject matter expert, mentor, and invaluable resource for the technical team. You'll have the opportunity to lead and delegate tasks to Project Engineers and Designers, ensuring the highest quality outcomes that meet our clients' needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the technical project process and scope of work within your discipline, meticulously reviewing schedules and budgeted hours, resolving any inconsistencies with the project manager.
Delegate tasks to project engineers and designers within your discipline as appropriate.
Uphold a rigorous quality management process, conducting project reviews and approvals before all QA/QC reviews are conducted by the technical authority.
Foster strong client relations, effectively articulating project and design requirements, progress, and troubleshooting to clients and technical staff.
Collaborate seamlessly with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into the design.
Act as a supervisor and resource to the technical design team, providing support for staff education and development.
Engage actively in the engineering/professional community to foster personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g. attending meetings/seminars/conferences and/or contributing articles for trade magazines.)
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
Possess comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles in your discipline, with a basic understanding of practices and principles in other disciplines.
Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize and develop solutions for multifaceted systems, navigating interactions with a wide array of components.
Excel as a communicator, effectively conveying scope, schedule, and budget to clients, co-workers, and technical teams through detailed work plans, statements of work, and two-way communication.
Proficient in writing comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
Skilled in analysis, problem-solving, and training others; highly organized with meticulous attention to detail; adaptable and collaborative.
Capable of independently resolving complex problems within the engineer’s discipline.
Education and Experience:
Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of 7 years of related industry experience.
Registered professional engineer (PE) license or other professional certification based on expertise is required.
Knows how to manoeuvre drawings using Revit software.
Data center experience is a must.
