VP, Head of Marketing

Reporting to the CRO, Vestmark is seeking a VP, Head of Marketing who is familiar with all aspects of advertising, public relations, event planning, digital marketing, SEO/SEM, social media marketing and demand generation. You will drive the development of all elements of the strategic and tactical marketing plan and execution of the plan in the marketplace. You will work hand-in hand with the sales team to bring creative marketing solutions that drive new business. Other interfaces include Product Management, Vestmark Advisory Solutions, Engineering and CEO. This role requires broad knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics, the marketplace, and Vestmark’s competitive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Digital Marketing and Design/Creative staff

• Develop and manage annual marketing plan and budget

• Manage to MBOs in terms of new marketing qualified leads generated, new business closed, etc.

• Oversee strategic planning, tactical execution and assigned resources for all elements of marketing plan:

Public Relations

Manage relationship with PR firm and participate in development of media plans

Coordinate activity with external experts

Content Development

Hire and manage outside content agencies to ensure quality of all thought leadership, product and campaign content

Act as Editor in Chief on all content and ensure internal expert approval and review

Own the compliance review process for technology and advisory content and ensure procedures are documented and followed by the team

Digital Marketing , including SEO/SEM, paid and organic social media, Website, email

Brand Marketing

Lead brand messaging efforts and maintain consistent branding across all marketing assets

Act as internal brand ambassador

Conference, webinars and other events

Determine conference and trade show presence

Oversee Booth management, maintenance, delivery, creative and messaging

Manage Advertising and Ad booking and placement with industry trade publications

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in marketing management roles

• 10+ years managing a highly skilled marketing team

• Broad knowledge of Investment Management marketplace

• Must be familiar with all aspects of Advertising, Event planning and management, digital marketing, including SEO/SEM and social media marketing

• Deep understanding of B2B sales process and an ability to bring practical marketing solutions to the sales team

• Strong communication skills

• Strong influence skills

• Focused on timely and accurate execution of the marketing plan

• Working knowledge of marketing automation software such as Hubspot, Salesforce, and other marketing technologies preferred

• MBA preferred
