The Job/What You'll Do:
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and ensuring that data flows seamlessly through our organization.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Atlanta, GA office.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of defining, documenting, and operating overall data strategy, including schema definitions, system contracts, security, compliance, and SLAs
Evangelize data strategy among stakeholders such as business users and various data teams through design, documentation, review, and cross team negotiations to support strategic business and technology goals
Build and lead a cross cutting team responsible for operational excellence of data platform including change management process, SDLC and CICD
Own and implement technical roadmap for continuous improvement of data platform, including tech stack upgrade, cost optimization and compliance requirements.
Own and operate automated operational test cases for performance, security, and reliability of data platform
Responsible for growing and inspiring a team of engineers through a combination of coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development

Experience & Expertise with concepts like Data Mess, Lake house, Data orchestration, ETL/ELT, Cloud Data warehousing.
Experience with ingesting, transforming and curating structure and unstructured data set
Experience with building analytic solutions applicable to Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and Marketing organizations in an enterprise
Experience implementing operational best practices such as monitoring, alerting, metadata management, data cataloging and data modeling
Experience managing, measuring, improving data quality in an OLAP/OLTP
Communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights
Experience working in agile development environment
Experience working with Salesforce and Yardi in real estate domain highly desirable
Experience working with cloud providers, both on the IAAS side (Azure), and in the data and analytics space (Snowflake, etc). We run our infrastructure in Azure, so experience with that ecosystem is a huge plus.
Experience in working in large teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies
Education & Experience:
7+ years to 15 years A minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT, majority in information system design. Required and
3+ years to 7 years A minimum of 5 years as a Data Architect with progressively increasing responsibility.
Bachelor's Degree Computer and Information Science Bachelor's in computer science Required
Master's Degree Computer and Information Science MS preferred
