Verily’s Product Security team is looking for a cloud
security engineer who also has experience in cloud engineering. The person will closely work with product teams to review their security design, but also work independently to implement cloud-based security solutions that product teams leverage.
In terms of security review, familiarity with GCP and AWS security controls, container deployment and security, and secure software development lifecycle are expected. In terms of solutions development, familiarity with cloud development (e.g., platform engineering, Terraform) and various authentication/authorizations schemes. Throughout, basic understanding of security schemes (symmetric/asymmetric encryption, ECDSA, TLS, SSH, etc.) are also expected.
Responsibilities
Work closely with product engineering teams to review and provide feedback to their security design.
Deliver cloud-based security solutions such as binary signing service and secure execution environment for MLOps.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
MS+, 8 years of relevant experience in a security role.
Prior experience in cloud development (GCP and AWS) andin container deployment and security.
Prior experience with vulnerability management.
Prior experience with security design reviews.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud security certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Snyk and Wiz.
Familiarity with mobile app development.
Familiarity with MLOps pipeline.
The US base salary
range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $227,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
