Sr. Director, Compliance

We are currently looking to fill the position of Sr. Director, Compliance with a starting range of $160,000 - $190,000/year, dependent upon experience, education, and skills. This position may have the opportunity for occasional work from home.
The Sr. Director Compliance provides oversight and monitors Paragon 28's healthcare compliance program and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for the management of people within this team.
Key Responsibilities
* Establishes standards and implements procedures to ensure that the compliance programming is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing and correcting noncompliance.* Defines the necessary level of knowledge on existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the company.* Provides guidance, advice, training and education to workforce to improve understanding of related laws and regulatory requirements.* Provides strategic direction to management and executives on compliance.* Prepares and presents clear and concise reports to the BOD.* Coordinates efforts related to healthcare compliance audits and reviews.* Develops policies and procedures as well as programs that encourage executives, managers, employees and contractors to report suspected fraud and other workplace improprieties, without fear of retaliation.* Coordinates internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities, including periodic review of departments.* Independently and autonomously investigates and acts upon matters related to compliance.* Monitors any external review processes.* Participates as a voting member on Consultant Screening Committee and FMV Committee.* Approves all grants, charitable donations agreements and product evaluation forms.* Leads employees to meet the departmental and organizational expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement and goal accomplishment.* Coaches, mentors and develops staff, including recruitment and onboarding, performance management and career development.
* Directly manages the US compliance team of three, with 'dotted' line oversight of one international teammate.* Other duties as assigned
Travel
Up to 15% of overnight travel.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's and Graduate level degree required.* Minimum of 12 years' experience in legal and compliance and 5 years of program oversight in med tech.* Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate risk in order to develop and maintain annual reviews and audits* Possess and maintain broad professional knowledge of local, state, federal and international regulations in the Compliance environment.* Demonstrated leadership style that motivates team performance by communicating a company vision and providing coaching to a team* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Must be able to effectively plan, direct and coordinate the activities of others to accomplish predetermined objectives and nurture a team environment.* Must be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
