ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
\tModel a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
\tEnsure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
\tMaintain good attendance record
\tProvide non-skilled portions of therapy sessions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist according to Medicare guidelines and the state practice acts both in aquatic and land settings
\tPrepare residents for therapy treatments, including but not limited to, dressing, bathing, toileting of residents for aquatic therapy treatments. Transportation of residents to and from therapy sessions
\tClerical duties as assigned by supervisor
\tComputer data entry as assigned by supervisor, basic knowledge of MS Word, MS excel.
\tDaily therapist/patient scheduling/communicate daily therapy schedule with nursing team
\tManage facility Durable Medical Equipment (DME), including maintaining equipment logs and organizing and track department supplies and their utilization.
\tPlace and receive orders for department supplies.
\tAssist in cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas(s) and equipment.
\tAttend weekly Rehab meetings and other meetings as assigned by supervisor
\tOther duties as assigned by Community Rehab Director or Medicare Rehab Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
\tHigh School Diploma or GED required
\tPossession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred
\tAble to successfully complete on the job training with the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff
\tDemonstrates computer proficiency with therapy billing and clinical software
\tProficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and to organize work effectively
\tAbility to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, to share information freely, to use and seek supervision and consultation verbally and in writing, and to be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
\tAbility to adjust to changing conditions, frequent demands and stressful situations
\tGenuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with handicap and hospice patients
\tAbility to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
\tAbility to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
\tAbility to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
