In this role you will use your expertise to evaluate tradeoffs in technology solutions and provide your recommendations, lead standardization and technology roadmap efforts, and design and document systems that meet the four tenets of IT at ISO New England: Efficiency, Reliability, Security and Cost Effectiveness. You will be part of a team of architects that value continual learning to stay current with technology trends, sharing knowledge, and delivering value through guidance to others.

How you will make an Impact
Work directly with business and IT partners to understand their needs, evaluate tradeoffs, propose system designs and architectures, and share those designs through written documentation and diagrams
Guide the development of company-wide standards and roadmaps for technologies and practices by working with cross-sections of IT professionals to solicit and align their input
Use your broad experience and architectural knowledge to provide guidance or assistance to others in the company in evaluating new technologies or advising on technical issues
Develop automations, processes, or work with pre-built tools to improve the team's ability to capture, store, and share company-wide technology reports and roadmaps
Model and enter new technologies and applications into the company's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to maintain data quality and integrity
What we are looking for
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree
Five to ten years of software development experience
Experience with Git, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Linux
Experience with enterprise integration technologies, patterns, and practices
Demonstrated ability to work well with people from all areas of the company
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem solving skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired not required: Java or Python development experience, electrical industry experience, knowledge of Archimate
