Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Marine Engineer that has experience with small boats. Do you want to help support the mission of the United States Coast Guard? If so, we are looking for you! This person will work within the Boat Acquisition Program Office to provide engineering support.

Responsibilities

Assist in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of relevant boat designs.

Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to systems on boats.

Perform design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through design and construction phases.

Conduct analyses of various boat systems, lead development of technical data packages and reviews.

Conduct trade studies relevant to boats.

Conduct marine engineering analysis.

Create graphical representations of structures and systems.

Assist in research of advanced engineering designs or applications.

Prepare technical reports for internal use.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or High School diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience.

At least 3+ years of experience:

Marine Engineering specific fields

Working with Microsoft Office suite

Experience with Auto-CAD

Familiarity with ABS, NVR, ABYC, and commercial ship/boat design rules and regulations.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain USCG/DHS Suitability.

Work Location

Washington, DC - USCG HQ - St. Elizabeth's Campus - 4 days onsite/1 day telework
