What You'll Do
Oversee strategy, growth, and development for IMA captive programs
Manage, develop, and leverage external captive relationships
Collaborate with IMA Benefits national team, Cornerstone, and strategic partners to develop group programs
Cultivate captive sales and marketing strategies
Develop a sales model
Educate producers on captive sales, and acts as a resource for producers
Participate in finalist and/or prospect meetings in partnership with production staff as appropriate
Participate in the development of prospect requests for proposals (RFPs), providing personnel responses and other information as requested
Organize and manage distribution to all IMA offices
Availability to serve as a resource for service teams
Participate in meetings with clients when appropriate
Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
You Should Have:
5 years of similar or related experience required
Previous experience with EB captives required
Rating and Underwriting including self-funded medical plans
Carrier and/or Broker Experience rating and underwriting of self-funded medical plans; client consulting; marketing of risk transfer, cost containment service providers, and stop-loss contacts
Group Medical Excess Captives Experience familiarity and experience with operations
Leadership, strategic planning, ability to influence peers, and ability to work in teams
Demonstrate above average business acumen related to strategy execution, interdependencies, and decision consequences
Demonstrate positive mindset and ability to optimize performance through collaboration
Demonstrate consistent ability to adapt in stressful situations and develop strategies for improvements in organizational effectiveness
Demonstrate advanced skills with MS Office Suite
Demonstrate strong ability and commitment to excellence in communication, both written and oral, through active listening, information sharing, and a focus on solutions
Attain and maintain Life and Health licensure
4-year degree in business or related discipline preferred

In addition to our robust benefits package, the hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. While this is the targeted range, final offer amounts will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's geographic location, prior relevant experience, and their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
