Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Land Development for our Charlotte, NC office. This position is available to an experienced engineer or a project manager with the drive and desire to make an impact in the Charlotte Community.
The individual will be responsible for leading design team, planning, scheduling, and design. The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and design assistance to engineering staff for civil engineering and land development related projects.

Responsibilities
Development of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plans
Storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specifications
Preparation of inventory assessments, analyses and reports
Assist with business development in the Charlotte region, including upstate South Carolina
Engage in public outreach, marketing and client communication.
Manage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for multiple projects.
Complete civil and site research, report preparation, and technical specifications.
Responsible for design, specifications, plans, maps, project schedule, and budgets.
Review for quality assurance and control, and ensure compliance with LaBella's quality standards.
Participate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the civil engineering field.
Licensed professional engineer in North Carolina preferred, but not required.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Project management experience a plus, but we will train.
Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a wide variety of projects.
Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical/problem solving skills are essential
Must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.
