We are currently seeking a Lead Server for our community McDowell Village in Scottsdale, AZ. The Lead Server is responsible for making the residents dining experience pleasant and positive; providing the highest quality dining service that takes into account resident preferences and exceptional customer service, while maintaining dining areas, seating residents and serving meals. Assist with all aspects of dining services as required. **Essential Job Duties**
+ Takes written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner making sure that customer satisfaction is the result
+ Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
+ Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally (serving from the left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
+ Review residents dietary needs, as outlined by Supervisor
+ Track resident attendance at meals, and provide that information in a timely manner to the appropriate person
+ Greet and seat all residents promptly. Make extra effort to integrate new residents so that they feel welcome and comfortable
+ Ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with all policies and procedures regarding the proper handling and serving of food
+ Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, Team Members, and guests
+ Aid in community marketing effort through positive interactions, dress and behavior by following all grooming and dress standards
+ Assist the dining room manager in training staff.
+ Conduct inventory and assist the dining room manager to ensure that all supplies in the FOH are replenished as necessary.
+ Serve meals that are palatable and appealing in appearance.
+ Assist in food preparations for special meals and events.
+ Attend daily pre-meal meeting and taste food.
+ Serve, clean, reset tables, return dishes to kitchen, and folding napkins
+ Other duties as assigned or directed by the dining room manager or Director of Dining Services.
+ Clean and set up of all dining areas, ensure proper storage of food and supplies, including stocking of condiments pulling old items, and restocking as necessary (sugars, salt/pepper, ketchups, etc.)
+ Cooperate and assist with other food service staff to ensure residents have a positive dining experience
+ Report any safety or equipment issues to Dining Room Supervisor
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Supervisor.
**Non-Essential Job Duties**
+ Assist in breaking down deliveries, putting away stock, washing dishes, as needed
+ Deliver meals to resident rooms as required, including tray collection from residents rooms after meal service
**Requirements**
+ Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn
+ Age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation
+ Background clearances as required by government regulations
+ Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
+ Basic counting skills as required by the position (tracking meals/residents, etc.)
+ Good communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
+ Ability to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar cart, trays, heating cart, etc.)
+ Must be mindful regarding the use of resources and supplies, minimizing waste and misuse when possible
+ Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public
+ Complete the dining room training course with CCG
+ Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements
+ Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job including standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
+ Able to move intermittently throughout the work day and throughout the community
+ Ability to lift/carry 40+ lbs., push and pull carts as necessary
