General Summary

The Head of Revenue Operations & Strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for building and managing the infrastructure, processes and tools needed to support continued revenue growth and operational efficiency through process mapping & automation, visibility, reporting, and analysis.

This role requires a deep understanding of sales, marketing, customer success, partnerships and business operations, as well as a strategic mindset to develop and implement revenue-focused strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy:

Develop and communicate a clear revenue growth strategy aligned with the organization’s business goals.

Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to shape revenue strategies.

Collaborate with senior leadership to set revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Sales and Marketing Alignment:

Foster collaboration and alignment between Sales, Marketing & Customer Success to maximize lead generation and conversion.

Oversee the development of sales and marketing strategies to optimize customer acquisition and retention.

Pricing and Monetization:

Analyze pricing strategies and identify opportunities to optimize pricing models.

Work on pricing and packaging strategies to maximize revenue while considering customer value.

Enablement:

Responsible for our direct sales and channel partner enablement programs (onboarding schedules, training assets, role plays, etc.)

Sales & Marketing Operations:

Lead the operations team in optimizing Go-To-Market processes, tools, and technologies.

Define and monitor metrics, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy.

Revenue Performance Metrics:

Establish and track key revenue performance metrics and targets.

Develop reports and dashboards to monitor progress and communicate results to leadership.

Customer Insights:

Gather and analyze customer feedback, preferences, and behaviors to refine revenue strategies.

Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase customer lifetime value.

Data Analysis and Insights:

Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions regarding revenue growth and customer behavior.

Apply data-driven insights to refine pricing, product offerings, and customer segmentation.

Team Leadership:

Build and lead a high-performing revenue operations and strategy team.

Provide mentorship, guidance, professional development and support to team members.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Monitor costs and seek cost-saving opportunities.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field

A minimum of 12 years of experience in revenue operations, strategy creation/execution, and leadership roles.

Extensive experience in revenue operations, strategy creation/execution, and leadership roles.

Experience with a start-up and/or Private Equity backed & SaaS

Proven experience in sales and marketing strategy development.

Proficiency in data analytics and financial analysis.

Familiarity with sales and marketing automation tools.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

A track record of success leading a business operation; an approach to management that brings out the best in staff and yields pride, ownership, and a sense of team effort

Possess a supportive and accessible management style, the ability to lead and motivate a diverse staff and encourage change and growth in both people and programs, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

Experience with SalesForce, Outreach.io, Dialpad, Domo, & Slack; preferred.
