Job Description: This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and support of the northern CA team of supervisors overseeing various programs such as Supported Living (SLS); Independent Living (ILS); Tailor Day Services (TDS); Adaptive Skills Services (ASS); Self Determination (SD) and other potential future services. The manager will provide support to both office locations (San Jose/Salinas). The manager will be stationed at the San Jose office location however when/if needed will provide assistance to the Salinas office personnel. The manager will also support Regional Director with supervising San Jose administrative assistance personnel.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day oversight to ensure quality of performance of assigned Supervisors.
Provide on-going mentorship, hands-on training, and guidance.
Ensure Program Quality for routinely delivered supports and services to the Individuals authorized for services and supports and their families.
Assist with and Monitor the completion of all required paperwork to include but not limited to tri-annual Profiles, annual Individual Support Plans, updated COVID plans, Special Incident Reports, et.al.
Meet with each assigned Individual and their Family to gain knowledge and understanding of each support situation within assigned area.
Support the assigned Supervisors with all necessary routine responsibilities, such as communicating with appropriate Regional Center personnel, Self-Determination Facilitators, etc, to ensure initiation and continuity of funding authorizations.
Provide hands-on support in order to assist and support the assigned supervisor.
Demonstrate an understanding of Family Dynamics and interactions.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to ensure that Individuals, Families, and other Stakeholders are treated with dignity and respect at all times regardless of disability, race, sexual orientation, etc.
Liaise with all areas of the Organization.
Arrange and attend regularly scheduled individual supervisory meetings; preferably bi-weekly.
Routinely report to the Regional Director regarding programmatic status and unmet needs.
Comply with all Policies and Procedures of the Organization and all Federal and Local laws and mandates.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA degree required; Master's degree (preferred) in a related Human Services field of study.
A minimum of four (4) years of related experience providing supervisory experience.
Ten (10) years of related experience with persons with developmental disabilities demonstrating significant behavior challenges, may be substituted for the degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate, non-invasive behavioral supports, person centered planning, and culturally valued interactions.
Must be over age 18 years.
A clear TB test or clear chest x-ray required
