Overview
We are seeking an mechanical engineer to lead our engineering team, all associated engineering projects, program execution and support of our technical services.
Job Responsibilities
Identify, recommend and provide reliable equipment solutions for technical applications to assure proper equipment selection to meet customer requirements
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and application expertise
Offer input into new product development to ensure we offer competitive products and services based on market input and distributor feedback
Deliver pre- and post-sales support by assisting with technical advice and assistance to customers and distributors when required
Manage and lead a team engineering team in drawing completion, creation of bills of material, as well as Project Managing such efforts.
Track, schedule, and coordinate work assignments to support program execution, keeping the team on schedule and under budget
Serve as a steward of company margins by developing competitive pricing proposals that support Pneu-Con’s financial objectives
Lead team that performs system tests, startup’s and training services; track time and material expenditures to ensure profitable services
Qualifications
Minimum 3-years’ experience as a mechanical engineer and/or as a project manager in a hard goods manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, MSME a plus.
Able to read and understand technical drawings and pneumatic systems process flow diagrams
Direct experience in converting customer specifications into compelling proposals and proposals for Pneu-Con’s products and capabilities.
Proficiency in Inventor or other CAD software
Preferred industry experience in pneumatic conveying equipment preferred, but open to experience in related experience in comparable industries.
Proven attention to detail and a strong team player with proven experience of working collaboratively with a range of departments.
Outstanding communication required with excellent written and verbal skills
Self-motivated and organized
Ability to work in a fast moving environment
Location and Reporting: Position is Ontario, CA and reports to the VP, Engineering. .
