Purpose The Program Coordinator will design, implement, coordinate, and report on grant-funded educational activities for pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate students within the Center for Dynamics and Control of Materials: an NSF MRSEC.

Responsibilities Program Coordination -REU Program -RET Program -CREATE -Graduate Student Programs -Industrial Mentorship Program -K-12 STEM Outreach -FUSE Program

Communication and Media Development -Internal Communications: design and distribute recruitment materials, informational documents, and event announcements. Manage CDCM Newsletter. -External Communications: design and distribute recruitment and informational materials and event announcements. -Social Media and Website Management: Develop and implement social media campaigns. Perform updates and manage CDCM website. -Podcast: pre-recording prep, recording, editing, publication and distribution of podcast

Administrative Support and Event Management: -Databases, maintain detailed records of current and previous students and participants. Keep records of Center activities and initiatives for reporting. -Budget Management: Ensure assigned program areas stay within outlined budgets. Report expenses to CDCM Admin. -Event Management: Assist with coordination of CDCM events. -Technology Support: Maintain Center technology (i.e. laptops, cameras, tech accounts). Provide technology support, as needed

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Bachelors' Degree and three (3) years of experience coordinating education programs. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience. Ability to work independently and participate as a team member. Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Interested in acquiring knowledge of both Spanish and American Sign Language. Advocate of STEM academic and career paths. Adept user of MS Office. Ability to supervise all levels of students.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in program coordination at UT Austin. Experience coordinating broadening participation programs. Experience with website management and internal/external communications strategies. Working knowledge of UT Austin policies and procedures.

Salary Range $ 45,000 + depending on qualifications
