IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Support professional to join our team. The IT Support role is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems. Please note that this position is an in-office position 5 days a week to ensure proper support for our employees.
Duties:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person- Travel between our Southlake and Plano offices for support (with travel reimbursement)- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals- Set up and troubleshoot network connections, including LAN- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems- Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies- Assist with the procurement of IT equipment and software
Experience:
- Proven experience in providing IT support in a professional environment- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 11)- Familiarity with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel)- Familiarity with Google applications (Gmail, Google drive, sheets, docs)- Experience with troubleshooting hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers)- Basic understanding of network concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP)- Knowledge of firewall concepts and basic network security principles- Familiarity with Zendesk or other ticketing systems is a plus- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving

- Knowledgeable with Google Workspace
