Overview

Join Trane Technologies as a Manager of Content Marketing and take the lead in developing and executing content strategies to strengthen our employer brand and attract top talent. As a central member of our content and storytelling team, you will have a hand in every step of the content development process, from planning and creating content to analyzing its performance and optimizing for even better results. Working closely with our strategic marketing team, you'll gain deep insights into our audience's needs and preferences, while also aligning our content with business priorities.

This role also includes operational leadership, ensuring efficient management and organization of our core content. Reports to: Director, Content Marketing Strategy & Creative Services

Scope of Focus: Content marketing and operations

Collaborators: Works closely with strategic and digital marketing, recruitment marketing, enterprise communications and PR, and other internal stakeholders leading strategic impact programs.

Key Tasks Responsibilities

Responsibilities

People & Employer Brand Content Creation

• With a focus on culture and people, build a multi-faceted content strategy that supports go-to-market activations and campaigns, including, but not limited to the company’s employer brand and talent attraction strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop or contribute to creative and effective content deliverables that resonate with targeted audience segments and meet business objectives.

• Effectively manage and lead content creation through individual contributions, and by directing vendors and outside resources in the development of content properties, inclusive of high-quality articles, videos, blogs, presentations, web copy, social copy and creative, and event collateral, including copywriting and copy-editing support.

• Contribute to integrated content marketing editorial and channel planning.

• Find and curate team member stories that showcase the Trane Technologies brand purpose and support key business initiatives and enterprise content themes.

• Conduct research and assessment of talent attraction strategies and trends, and proactively navigate the company to identify content opportunities and evolving themes.

• Push the company to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new formats and distribution strategies.

Content & Brand Marketing Operations

• Build standard procedures for the management and inventory of core content and assets across all content marketing programs.

• Regularly audit the company website and core corporate collateral (overview materials, media-ready broll packages) to ensure content relevance, SEO performance, and on-demand use cases are met. Refresh and update as needed.

• Conduct regular keyword research and create content briefs to ensure high-ranking keywords are implemented in content marketing strategy.

• Working with Marketing Operations leader, develop operational metrics for continuous content performance analysis and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or similar

• A minimum 8 years of experience in content creation and deployment, marketing, communications, or similar (in-house or agency side)

• A portfolio of published or managed work

• Good knowledge of various content platforms and formats such as social media, blogs, web, video, and paid media

• Experience managing content and editorial programs

• Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Skilled in proofreading and editing

• Ability to travel on a limited basis as production projects require

Use a structured and streamlined approach to build audience-centric content strategies that enable marketing activation needs, mirror audience needs, and help synchronize marketing and communication channels within the plan.

Core Writing and Engaging Content Creation

Works back from the desired stakeholder reaction to craft simple and clear messages. Messaging and finished content create an emotional connection with the target audience.

Self-Driven

Completes projects on time with little intervention or direction from management.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $114,400-140,000 Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
