Job Summary:
The DevSecOps Engineer is an integral part of the Product and Software Engineering organization at Remodel Health, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. You enjoy building secure, scalable and resilient applications in the cloud leveraging best practices. You're comfortable interfacing with Software Engineers as well as other project stakeholders both internal and external.
The growth of our company has created opportunities for our product to improve. This role will be responsible for migrating multiple cloud providers into one standardized centralized environment with PaaS best practices in place. Must be comfortable in both MS Azure and AWS, with a strong preference on MS Azure and web based application security and scalability.
Responsibilities:
Tactical Level Execution:
Responsible for operational monitoring of cloud infrastructure systems and business applications, including troubleshooting the infrastructure components for optimal availability, performance, scalability, connectivity, service health and security
Participates in enterprise projects in the cloud; functioning as the lead resource covering technical and architectural assessments, services, analytics, security, testing, and deployment
Monitor dashboards for security anomalies and take remedial action
Monitor cloud infrastructure financial spend, identify and implement cost savings strategies
Migrate multiple cloud environments into one clean well organized and segmented infrastructure solution for our various products.
Working with Product Engineering, manage software releases; timing, communications, expectations, and release artifacts
Configure applications or software and execute tasks as needed
Collaborate with Leadership, Engagement, Care, Finance, Marketing and even external customers as needed to define and prioritize work items
Participate in compliance documentation and assessments with various partner or regulatory agencies
Identify and drive automation projects with the team
Strategic Level Items:
Provide technical guidance to Product Engineering teams to use cloud technologies and implement best in class cloud infrastructure
Partners with the Engineering teams to ensure compliance with High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts of operations
Collaborate with development teams to integrate best practices and security controls into the CI/CD pipeline as well as code management
Design and implement automated security testing and monitoring tools to identify vulnerabilities and threats
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and security best practices to continually enhance our security posture
Expectations:
2-3 years experience in DevOps, NOC, Security Operations, Engineering role
Highly skilled in cloud infrastructure concepts, including but not limited to compute, data, security and networking
MS Azure and Azure DevOps is a big plus
Knowledgeable in Agile software development processes
Communication and presentation skills
A Strong collaborator with various types of stakeholders, both technical and business
